VK0EK – March 6 – April 20, 2016

Bill, AE0EE, has proved to be an invaluable team member. It takes MUCH more than operating a radio to go to a far flung place like Heard Island and make more than 50K QSO’s. Bill has proven his weight in Gold. All images in this blog are by Bill, and you really should check out his fantastic blog:

I very much enjoyed reading your blog Bill 🙂

I do hope you’ll be able to get that photo of the clear, starry sky!

Please select your most beautiful picture and use it to cover the front of the QSL card. I for one would love to see a picture of Big Ben (with Mawson peak perhaps?) on that front picture, so I can put that QSL on my online QSL album 🙂

Hope to catch you all on more bands, I’ll keep looking for the right opening!

Great photos on your Website, Bill!

The birds on Heard Island are fantastic creatures. One cannot help to wonder how they manage to survive, breed and raise their young in that harsh environment.

Enjoy your stay and looking forward to many more FB photos. Like Douwe said photos of the night sky would be a super bonus!

Thank you for the article and reference to Bill’s Blog, Rich!
