There are 12,000 people watching DXA right now. The new URL where Mike, KJ4Z set up with a CDN has made the difference between night and day. Performance is way better. Here is a map of the countries on DXA last night:
Clublog has the detailed statistics, but here are a few interesting ones:
In North America, the Western states, Canada and Mexico along the Pacific have 6% of the (total) QSO’s, the US and Canada Central zone has 5% of the (total) QSO’s and the US East Coast has 10% of the total QSO’s.
This means the US West and Central are doing a little bit better than expected and the rest of the world and areas doing about as expected.
Mexico only have 2 qso in 30m, zero qso in others bands.
I got up just at local sunrise (WA state on US west coast) looking for a Q on the low bands and noticed all stations were on 30M and up at your sunset. Then one station moved to 160. After about a half hour or so (pretty much full daylight) I could hear a signal. This was on a ground plane antenna (no receiving antenna) yet. I didn’t try calling with my 100W. So far I have contacts on 30 and 20 CW. The expedition is pretty easy to work. Keep it up guys! 🙂
Also, my 20M Q was long path. Signals were quite good at 0300Z
