We did it in conjunction with Elecraft – after Mike suggested it. He ran with it and had a great time down at ELecraft HQ – where they were as excited as we were. Huge thanks to Mike, Eric and Brandon for making this exciting “demo” happen.
Now we need someone to permanently install such a remote on Bouvet!
This is all great, but it would be greater if the crew could spend a little more effort making the rare NE/OE/NF grid squares QRV. The only spots I’ve seen have been 40m around 1100Z… not much help for EU or EC USA. 😦

WOW, I love Remote operation with the K3s and K3/0 mini myself. I worked the VK0EK remote so it works well.

But its has nothing to do with real Ham radio. Its commercial activity like GSM operators.
