VK0EK – March 6 – April 20, 2016

They were last reported at 0800z April 14 in Grid NE43, so by now they are almost half way to Freemantle.

From Cape Town to Heard Island it is 4777 km or 2968 miles and from Heard Island to Freemantle it is  4100 km or 2548 miles. One of the most remote places on earth for sure.

Sure wish the /MM team would show up on 20 or 15 meters @ ~1100z or 20 @ ~0300Z for us NE USA hams chasing grid squares. All I’ve seen are 40m spots @ ~1100Z which unfortunately is well past local sunrise.
