They have had very decent seas the entire trip – but expect tonight to be bumpier. At 700 miles they still seem to be on target for and ETA of Tuesday, weather permitting – both along the way and upon arriving. The entire team is very eager to get to Heard and fire up VK0EK and start handing out Q’s.
I have made it a point to check DX Heat and look for their ZL/ZS9HI/MM call – because it indicates that while the seas can be rough – if they can still operate the radio that’s great news. . Bob’s wife Kay told me this morning that most of the team started getting much better acclimated to the seas after the first couple of days, so for such a long voyage they are doing very well.
