| May 23, 2015. We are very pleased to announce that we have partnered with HDT Global as a major sponsor. The agreement was struck in a meeting on May 19, 2015, at the company office in Solon, Ohio, between expedition Leader Bob Schmieder and team member Ken Karr with the CEO, Chairman, and President of HDT, R. Andrew Hove.The company will custom-develop the main shelters to be used on the Heard Island expedition. In return, the expedition will provide HDT with product experience and evaluation in the extreme environment of Heard Island.

Several of us put one of these up and they are amazing. Bob, the expedition leader has 35 years of expedition experience – and in climates like Heard, Peter One, etc. He confirms that these compare favorably (actually better) than the “Weather Haven” tent, and that these are rated for very extreme conditions – extreme wind, snow, rain, etc, etc.
